1: Sheer Khurma
By the way, Sheer Khurma is being prepared all over Pakistan in addition to special occasions. But desserts across the country are mostly prepared on the nights and days of blessings, such as Laylat-al-Qadar.
Recipe of Sheer Khurma
- Four cups of Sawaiyan (Vermicelli),
- One kg of milk,
- Finely chop seven to eight pieces of Chowary (dried dates),
- Almonds: ten pieces,
- Ten pieces of pistachios,
- Half a cup of black raisins (Kishmish),
- Two tablespoons of ghee,
- Six tablespoons of green cardamom,
- Four tablespoons of cloves,
- Sugar to taste
First heat the milk and mix the sugar in it and cook it well until it condensed. When it condensed, add dried dates and cook for some more time and reduce the heat.
Add ghee to a pot on the second stove. Then add green cardamom and cloves and cook for a while so that the aroma starts coming. Then add almonds, pistachios and lightly fry them to set aside the mixture. Now take a pan, crush the Sawaiyan in it with your hands, put it in it, and cook till it becomes golden brown.
Now add black raisins and cook over medium heat. Add the cooked milk, almonds, and pistachios to the mixture and cook for a while until the Sawaiyan are well cooked.
Delicious Sheer Khurma is ready.
Lab-e-Shireen is a very delicious Ramadan dish. It is loved by everyone. Here’s the Ramadan special recipe of Lab-e-Shireen.
Recipe of Ramadan Special Lab-e-Shireen
- One and a half liters of milk,
- Two cups of sugar,
- One cup of fresh cream,
- Vanilla custard or cornflour Three tablespoons,
- One packet of red, yellow, and green jelly
- One cup of steamed colored Sawaiyan,
- Two mangoes,
- Four banana,
- Three apples,
- One cup of grapes,
- One piece of peach,
- One cup of pistachios,
- One cup of almonds,
Dissolve vanilla custard or cornflour in a little water. Put milk and sugar in a saucepan and bring to a boil. When the sugar is well dissolved, dissolve the cornflour in a separate cup with cold milk.
Then add this mixture to the hot milk and keep stirring Ladle(Chamcha) constantly and cook until the custard thickens. Then cool it and take out a little custard in a bowl then mix the cream in it and keep this mixture in the fridge.
Make jellies and cut them into cubes after freezing. Peel and cut all the fruits. Then put all the fruit, jelly, and colored boiled Sawaiyan in a bowl and put custard on top.
Put pistachios and almonds and enjoy.
