How Parents Can Monitor Quran Learning Progress

Look at what the learner can do with less help, not only the number of pages covered. A useful parent record combines attendance, the skill practised, remaining prompts and the tutor’s next task. Agree with the teacher how to review it.

Ask for an observable goal

For a beginner this might be recognising a joined pattern. For a reader it may be correcting a repeated sound. For memorization, new material and retained revision both matter. Ask what the tutor expects to listen for rather than demanding an unsupported completion date.

Keep three short notes

Write the task, the support needed and the next revision step. Example format: “Skill practised / what still needed a prompt / task for next time.” This is a blank planning example, not a claim about any 92 Campus student.

Review the routine as well as the skill

Notice attendance, practice and whether the learner is comfortable enough to attempt a difficult part. If progress feels slow, discuss starting level, frequency and revision before adding more lessons. A sustainable plan can be more useful than a crowded timetable.

Make feedback a conversation

Ask the tutor what has changed, what should be reviewed and what parents can help with. Share a recurring difficulty privately. Do not publish a child’s recording or report without the appropriate permission and purpose.
