Prepare one task
Find the page or worksheet the tutor assigned and check what the learner is meant to practise. If the instruction is unclear, ask before introducing new material. Keep the device or printed page ready so the short session is not spent searching.
Review, try, repeat
Begin with a familiar example. Let the learner try the current task, then repeat a small part that needs attention. A parent can encourage and help with the routine, but should ask a qualified tutor about pronunciation they are unsure of.
End while the goal is still clear
Note one question for the next lesson and stop. The exact length depends on attention, confidence and the task; a suggested short routine is not a mandatory minimum. Consistency is more useful than an occasional stressful catch-up session.
Adjust on busy days
A small familiar review may be enough when school or family commitments make time limited. Tell the tutor about repeated missed practice so the lesson plan can be adjusted. Avoid turning revision into a comparison between siblings.
