Wudu for Kids: Readable Learning Steps and Practice
Learn the purpose and sequence of Wudu through calm demonstration. This page is an introductory learning guide; your tutor can explain the detailed practice and questions relevant to your family.
Understand why we prepare
Wudu is purification before prayer. Quran 5:6 describes washing the face and arms to the elbows, wiping the head and washing the feet to the ankles. Read the verse with your teacher and discuss the purpose before memorising a list.
Learn through demonstration
Ask the tutor to demonstrate the full sequence, including preparatory actions, mouth and nose cleaning, and the core washing and wiping steps. Then let your child practise with supervision using the male or female Wudu posters in the Download library.
Use water carefully
Practise with enough water to complete the washing without wasting it. Encourage a careful check of the areas being washed. A parent should supervise younger children around sinks and wet floors.
Check understanding
Ask: what are we preparing for, which step comes next, and what do you want your teacher to explain? The printable sheet records practice and questions; it is not a certificate that Wudu is valid in every circumstance.
